Guide for our different gear types: Worm gears, helical gears, spiral bevel gears, planetary gearboxes and Hydro-Mec gear systems:

Worm Gears:
A worm gear consists of a worm (a spiral-shaped screw) and a worm wheel (a gear), where the worm serves as the driving element, and the worm wheel is the driven element. It changes the direction of rotation from one axis to another and offers high gear reduction in a compact form, enabling large gear ratios of up to 100:1 or higher in a single stage. Worm gears have self-locking properties that prevent the load from reversing and typically operate quietly and smoothly due to the sliding motion between the worm and the teeth of the worm wheel. We manufacture worm gears in cast iron, stainless steel, or aluminum.

Bevel Gears:
Bevel gears are used to transmit power and torque between rotating shafts. The bevel gear is a cylindrical gear with inclined teeth that allow more than one tooth to be in contact during operation. This makes bevel gears more efficient, quieter, and capable of handling large loads, and they can be supplied with large gear ratios. Bevel gears are used in various industries. We supply bevel gears in cast iron, stainless steel, or aluminum.

Spiral bevel gearboxes
Spiral bevel gearboxes are conical gears with curved teeth that can transmit motion and force between two shafts intersecting at an angle. Spiral bevel gearboxes have a smooth and quiet operation because their teeth gradually contact each other compared to straight teeth gears. The compact construction and design allow for mounting in any position. We manufacture spiral bevel gearboxes in cast iron and stainless steel.

Planetary Gears:
A planetary gear consists of an internal central gear, called the sun gear, surrounded by multiple satellite gears (typically between 3 and 9), also known as planet gears, mounted on a bearing structure called a planet carrier. These planet gears mesh with a ring-shaped internally toothed gear, called the ring gear. Due to its design with multiple planet gears, the planetary gear can transmit a high torque relative to its size. For larger gear ratios, planetary gears can be "stacked," and the drive shaft is engaged with the sun gear that matches the desired ratio. Planetary gears are known for their compact design, high efficiency, and ability to withstand heavy loads, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

Hydro-Mec:
Hydro-Mec gears are used for various applications requiring high efficiency, durability, and versatility. Hydro-Mec gear systems include spur gears, flat gears, bevel gears, industrial gears, and worm gears. They are made of aluminum or cast iron, depending on the size, and can be easily interchanged with other brands on the market.
