HV73100640The Stieber freewheel RSBW 80 is a DC sprag-type freewheel, designed as a compact and reliable backstop for demanding applications.
The unit is self-contained, centered by plain bearings for low rotational speeds, and sealed using shield-protected O-rings. It is delivered grease-lubricated and ready for installation in either horizontal or vertical position.
Primarily used as a backstop, the RSBW provides very high torque capacity while requiring minimal installation space. The design makes it suitable for harsh environments including high humidity or water splash areas.
Torque is restrained by a torque arm and bolt: the bolt, fixed to the machine frame, passes through the torque arm slot to prevent rotation. Proper radial clearance of 1–3% of the slot width must be maintained for correct function.
