HV73101520The Stieber freewheel RSCI 60 mm is a centrifugal lift-off sprag-type freewheel designed for demanding power transmission applications. It delivers a maximum torque of 2350 Nm, operates at transmission speeds up to 2350 RPM, and supports overrunning speeds up to 6000 RPM, with a required minimum overrunning speed of 510 RPM.
The RSCI type is a non self-supported design, meaning external bearings must be provided to ensure concentricity between the inner and outer races and to support axial and radial loads. Concentricity and run-out tolerances must be maintained for optimal performance.
This freewheel accepts all common power transmission lubricants, and can be installed directly in gearboxes without separate lubrication. An oil mist is generally sufficient, while grease lubrication may be used when the unit operates primarily in overrunning mode, such as in E-motor applications.
When used as a backstop, it is critical that the overrunning speed does not fall below the specified minimum of 510 RPM to ensure proper function.
