The Stieber RSBW Ø20 mm freewheel is a self-contained, sprag-type backstop solution for shafts with a diameter of Ø20 mm. Operating at speeds up to 400 rpm, it supports a maximum torque of 375 Nm. This model is centered by plain bearings and designed for low-speed applications where compactness and durability are essential.

The unit is grease-lubricated and sealed with shielded O-rings, making it particularly suitable for installation in humid or splash-prone environments. It can be mounted in both horizontal and vertical orientations. A torque arm with 1–3% radial clearance provides the rotational stop, and both bearings and the arm must remain free of axial or radial preload.
