The Stieber freewheel CSK 30 mm is a sprag-type freewheel integrated into a 62-series ball bearing, engineered for compact, reliable, and efficient power transmission. It is widely used for overrunning, indexing, and backstop applications in demanding machinery.

This unit provides a maximum torque of 138 Nm with a low drag torque of 4.4 Ncm. It is bearing supported, delivered grease-lubricated, and protected against dust particles larger than 0.3 mm, ensuring consistent long-term operation.

All CSK freewheels are equipped with formchromed sprags, which significantly extend overrunning lifetime compared to untreated designs. Torque transmission is ensured by press-fit assembly into a rigid steel housing (N6 tolerance) and onto a shaft with n6 tolerance, with the bearing radial clearance preset to C5.

The CSK series also allows for oil bath lubrication where required. For applications above +50°C, the use of additional Nylos seals is recommended. Please consult Stieber if ambient or operating conditions fall outside the range +5°C to +60°C. For environments requiring splash resistance, the CSK..2RS version is available, which is 5 mm wider and fitted with lip seals.
