The Stieber AS 8mm freewheel is a roller-type unit without internal bearing support, designed for integration with Ø8 mm shafts. It handles a maximum torque of 3.8 Nm and a drag torque of 0.24 Nm, supporting overrunning speeds of 4300 rpm on the inner race and 6500 rpm on the outer race.

As part of the AS series, it shares the same outer dimensions as standard 62-series ball bearings, enabling compact integration in OEM designs. This model requires external bearing support, external oil lubrication, and separate sealing.

The inner race is keyed to the shaft (except size AS 6), and the outer race features an R6 press fit tolerance, designed for fitting into a rigid H7 housing. Axial misalignment of ±S/2 is allowed, which increases installation flexibility in constrained mechanical systems.
