Description
The Stieber AS Ø80 mm freewheel is a non-bearing-supported, roller-type freewheel designed for integration in applications requiring custom bearing arrangements. It is suitable for shafts with a diameter of Ø80 mm and supports a maximum torque of 1063 Nm. The inner race allows for speeds up to 600 rpm, and the outer race can reach 900 rpm.
This model is part of the AS series, which features compact dimensions aligned with standard 62-series ball bearings. As it does not include internal bearing support, the axial and radial loads must be managed externally. Sealing and lubrication are also to be provided by the system, with oil lubrication recommended. The inner race is keyed to the shaft (except for 6 mm variants), and the outer race has an R6 tolerance for a press fit into a H7 housing. The housing must remain structurally rigid after installation.
The design permits axial misalignment between the inner and outer races of up to ±S/2, offering greater flexibility during installation.
