The Stieber AS 6mm freewheel is a compact roller-type unit without bearing support, designed for shaft diameters of Ø6 mm. It delivers a maximum torque of 2.1 Nm, with a drag torque of 0.18 Nm, and supports overrunning speeds up to 5000 rpm on the inner race and 7500 rpm on the outer race.

Unlike other AS models, the AS 6mm version does not feature a keyway on the inner race. Torque is transmitted solely via a precision press fit. For mounting, the inner race must be fitted onto a shaft with k6 tolerance, and the outer race press-fitted into an H7 housing using R6 tolerance.

This unit requires external bearing support, external oil lubrication, and sealing. With outer dimensions matching standard 62-series ball bearings, it offers installation flexibility in tight assemblies. Axial misalignment of ±S/2 is tolerated. The image shown may depict a different AS unit with a keyway, which is not present in the AS 6mm model.
