The Stieber AS Ø60 mm freewheel is a compact, non-bearing-supported roller-type design, suitable for shaft sizes of Ø60 mm. Designed for integration with external bearing support, this freewheel is ideal where flexibility and system-specific configurations are required. It supports 700 rpm on the inner race, 1100 rpm on the outer race, and a maximum torque of 508 Nm.

As part of the AS series, the unit shares nominal dimensions with standard 62-series ball bearings, making it easily integrable into systems designed for those sizes. Lubrication and sealing must be supplied externally, with oil lubrication being the standard recommendation. The inner race is keyed to the shaft, and the outer race features R6 tolerance for press-fitting into an H7 housing. The housing must remain structurally rigid after installation.

The freewheel also tolerates axial misalignment of ±S/2 between the inner and outer races, offering installation flexibility.
