The Stieber AS Ø55 mm freewheel is a compact, non-bearing-supported roller-type freewheel tailored for shaft diameters of Ø55 mm. Designed for integration with external bearings and lubrication systems, it is ideal in applications that require custom configurations and flexibility. The unit handles inner race speeds up to 800 rpm and outer race speeds up to 1300 rpm, with a maximum torque capacity of 308 Nm.

This freewheel belongs to Stieber's AS series, known for its compatibility with 62-series ball bearing dimensions. It is engineered for press-fit mounting with the outer race manufactured to R6 tolerance for installation into an H7 housing. The inner race features a keyway (except for the 6 mm variant) for reliable torque transmission.

Lubrication and sealing must be provided externally. The design allows for axial misalignment between the inner and outer races of up to ±S/2, increasing installation flexibility.
