The Stieber AS 50mm freewheel is a compact, roller-type, non-bearing-supported design engineered for Ø50 mm shafts. It accommodates clutch overrunning speeds of up to 950 rpm on the inner race and 1500 rpm on the outer race, delivering a maximum torque of 230 Nm with a drag torque of 13 Nm.

With outer dimensions equivalent to 62-series ball bearings, it is well suited for integration into standardized systems. The inner race is keyed to the shaft, while the outer race must be press-fitted using R6 tolerance into a rigid H7 housing, which must maintain structural integrity post-assembly.

This unit requires external oil lubrication and external sealing, and it must be installed with separate bearing support for radial and axial loads. It allows axial misalignment of ±S/2 between races, providing installation flexibility for overrunning, indexing, or backstop applications.
