The Stieber AS 12mm freewheel is a non-bearing-supported roller-type unit designed for use with Ø12 mm shafts. It supports clutch overrunning speeds up to 3200 rpm (inner race) and amax 4800 rpm (outer race), with a maximum torque capacity of 13 Nm and a drag torque of 0.48 Nm.

The outer dimensions correspond to standard 62-series ball bearings, facilitating integration into compact systems. The inner race is keyed to the shaft, while the outer race is press-fitted to R6 tolerance in an H7 housing. To ensure operational stability, the housing must not deform under pressure.

This type requires external oil lubrication and external sealing. It also allows for axial misalignment tolerance of ±S/2 between the inner and outer raceways.
