The Precima FDB 13 is a compact and rugged spring-applied brake, delivering 20 Nm of holding torque at 48 VDC through a single-disc configuration mounted on a Ø24 H7 hub. With its IP54/55-rated enclosure and sealing cap, it offers robust protection against dust ingress and water spray, ensuring reliability in industrial, automation, and light outdoor environments.

Factory-fixed air gap and robust build simplify installation and eliminate the need for adjustment. Operating as a fail-safe brake, it engages upon power loss (spring triggered) and only releases under applied voltage—ideal for safety-critical stopping and holding applications.

Away from power, the brake maintains a firm hold; when energized, the magnetic field releases it cleanly—ensuring seamless control in conveyors, pick-and-place systems, and assembly equipment.

Available with manual release, flange mounting, wear-sensing, temperature monitoring, and low-noise or corrosion-resistant variants, the FDB 13 adapts easily to specific operational demands.
