The Precima FDB 08 is a compact yet robust spring-applied brake delivering 5 Nm of adjustable holding torque at 205 VDC, featuring a precision Ø15 H7 hub bore. Its IP54/55-rated enclosure offers complete protection against dust and high-pressure washdowns, making it ideal for compact automation systems, robotic wrists, small conveyors, and outdoor equipment.

This version includes a torque-adjustable collar that enables fine-tuning of braking force to match application-specific load requirements. With a factory-set air gap, installation is quick and adjustment-free. As a fail-safe device, it engages when power is removed (spring tension) and releases only when energized—ensuring secure performance in emergency stop and holding applications.

When de-energized, the brake holds firmly; when energized, it disengages precisely—supporting smooth, controlled motion in positioning systems, pick-and-place units, and small drive mechanisms.

Optional configurations include manual release, flange adapters, wear-sensing, temperature monitoring, low-noise or corrosion-resistant variants, allowing for versatile adaptation to diverse working environments.
