The Precima FDW 10 is a compact, rugged spring-applied brake delivering 10 Nm of torque at 24 VDC, with a Ø19 H7 hub bore. Its fully sealed IP66 enclosure ensures full protection against dust and high-pressure water jets, making it ideal for harsh industrial, outdoor, and food-processing environments.

Designed as a fail-safe solution, the brake applies when unpowered (spring engaged) and releases only when energized, ensuring reliable stoppage in power failure or emergency situations. The factory-set air gap simplifies installation—no adjustments required—while the 48 mm overall height and compact form factor fit seamlessly into space-limited applications.

Typical uses include pitch and azimuth controls in wind turbines, conveyors, cranes, car-wash systems, and hoists. Additional features such as sealed manual release, encoder-ready hubs, temperature monitoring, anti-condensation heating, wear detection, and optional ATEX zone 22 compliance enable flexible customization.
