Compact flange encoder for standard speed feedback in industrial drive systems

The BEGE MIG Basic MB-080-09-0001-7 is an incremental flange encoder designed for reliable speed and direction feedback in industrial automation systems. Mounted between the motor and gearbox, it requires no extended fan cover and adds only minimal installation length, making it suitable for both new machinery and retrofit projects.

The BEGE MIG Basic series is designed for standard speed feedback and straightforward automation tasks. Offering 1 to 64 pulses per revolution, it is the cost-effective choice for conveyors, geared motors, pumps and machinery where stable speed monitoring is more important than high-resolution positioning. Compared with MIG Nova+ and MIG AST, MIG Basic provides the simplest and most economical solution.

This model features an 80 mm flange diameter, 9 mm shaft diameter, 65 mm bolt circle diameter (BCD) and fits IEC 56B14 motors. It delivers 1 pulse per revolution per channel with an HTL A90°B output and operates from a 5–24 VDC supply, ensuring compatibility with PLCs, variable-speed drives and industrial control systems.

The lightweight aluminium housing provides excellent mechanical strength, while the contactless magnetic sensing technology eliminates mechanical wear and ensures stable signal quality. With IP55/IP67 protection and a 2 m screened PUR cable, the encoder is built for demanding industrial environments.
