The Stieber CSK 17mm P-2RS is a sealed sprag-type freewheel integrated into a 62-series ball bearing (excluding sizes 8 and 40), optimized for Ø17 mm shaft applications. It transmits up to 30 Nm of torque with a drag torque of 5.6 Nm under overrunning conditions.

The inner race features a keyway for positive torque transmission and requires press-fitting onto a shaft with n6 tolerance. The outer race must also be press-fitted into a rigid steel housing with N6 tolerance. This P-2RS variant is 5 mm wider than the standard CSK and includes lip seals for enhanced splash resistance, making it suitable for damp or contaminated environments.

All CSK models are equipped with formchromed sprags, significantly increasing overrunning lifetime. The unit is grease-lubricated by default and designed with C5 radial clearance to compensate for the press-fit distortion. Oil bath lubrication is also supported.

Operating temperature range: +5°C to +60°C. For temperatures above 50°C, Nylos seals are recommended.
